Hello all,

This will be my first competion, august 5-6th. Just wandering if anyone will be there. It Probably be best if not, than i havea chance!! Just kidding. anyways if anyone has any info on the last cabelas comps. please share i am interested to know what Game meats they have used so far. And wandering how the comp was ran.

I'll be there too. Bet I'm the only guy cooking Long Island and Wisconsin.

I was at the Cabela's contest in Minnesota and it was pretty good. I think it will be a good place to start for you.

We cooked buffalo ribs. I know they've cooked wild hog ribs somewhere, and I think buffalo brisket too. I'm not sure what else.

I don't know about Wisconsin but at other events ostrich meat is popular as a "game" entry. Easy to get mail order, too.

Cabela's gives us the meat of their choice, like an Iron Chef thing.

I would not bet on that. I live in Illinois and will be in Long Island for grill kings. Wisconsin is an easy trip.
