Elec Griddle For chaffing

Has any one used the electric griddle in place of a chaffing pan for cattering jobs?RLN

I have one I use at home when I run out of oven room. I was thinking the same thing but the only problem is having to many cords hanging around... Walmart around here has them for under 20 I would mind having about 4-6 of them. I will put my amp meter on one to see how much they pull.
