No.. I wasn't back in Lockhart or the surrounding areas... but I was in NYC for a doctor appointment so before returning home, I stopped over at Hill Country on 26th street for lunch.. Last time I was there was maybe a year ago... It was definitely worth it... From a meat perspective, they do really a solid representation of the the hill country TX style BBQ.

1/4 each of moist & lean brisket
1 Kreuz original beef sausage & 1 Kreuz jalepeno & cheese sausage (only ate 1/2 of each)
1 pork spare rib

Is it a Texas thing to tie the ends of the sausage together like that? I don't think I've ever seen it before.

The best Q in the concrete jungle in my opinon, also have a quick service fried chicken joint around the corner. looks like I know where I am going for lunch today.

Seems to be. All the places I've been down there roll that way.
Speaking of which... I am back down here again right now!!
