You get twin pack 24 lb bags for $7.98.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. I think I usually pay around $12.

It's a Lodge Outpost hibachi.

I'm really happy with it. Built like a tank. It's about a foot wide, maybe 6 inches high. I think it weighs 35 pounds. lol

Home Depot here on Long Island has 2 24LB bags for $11.98 I believe.

That was the price last Thursday. Picked up 100 pound of the stuff.

Stopped by Home Depot here on the way home from work tonight... $9.95 for 2x24 lb. bags. Not bad but was a little disappoined. And their grill/smoker supplies/accessories are BAD!

Does anyone use a CharBroil Silver Smoker? They had some of those on sale for like $149. Thought seriously about it. Decided to pass for now.

Jeff, I Acouple of use the Silver smoker. It's a decent starter unit. The Bandera or WSM is probably a better unit to get. Like most of theses unit Mods are needed to make it work better. There are some posted on my web site.

I just got the remaining 24-lb.twin packs of the old Kingsford at Home Depot for $7.98. I think this was a "close out" deal since the new design Kingsford was going for $12.98.

Farkers. Resurecting an old thread. I went to Lowes and HD looking for o/s Kingsford yesterday until I realized this thread is a farkin year old. Oh well, I bought a 2 pak at HD of the new stuff for $11.97.

I found two 2pks of the old K at wally world and will do a comparison Sat. I'll be using both sides of the Dually.

Well Brothers my opinion has not changed,the new K lights faster and is hotter,but burns faster.I have started buying fireplace cut pecan and cutting it in half for the smoker and will be only using charcoal to start.BTW i took 3rd place in pork roast.Some farker took one of my storage boxes during the night with my rub and 3 Nu-Temps and remote.I heard a noise outside of the RV during the night but did see anything, probably some homeless person that wanted the container and dumped my stuff in a alley.
