Can Cast metal be welded.
Absolutely--not even difficult or expensive.

I dunno, I have a buddy who heated up the parts in a forge & use a stainless stick and it worked for him.

Yes. I had a "witch's kettle" welded. Had a hole in bottom for a drain to make it a flower pot (stupid farks!). Dad put a stainless bolt through it and welded it. Took a grinder and ground it flush. Had to reseason the area. Worked as a fish fryer on top of a 55 gal barrell for 15+ years. This rig blows away todays turkey fryers.

Although i dindt think i would use it again.. the grill is so close to the coals it may be good to really seer a steak and then raise it up a little to finish cooking. When Sami originally was looking to buy this, i said get kettle or little Jo, but i can see where these little things can have a home.

Just another tool in the belt--and a good one if you want that capability
Flashback to "single days" Mod
