Big-time congrats to Nelson of Old Dominion Smokehouse. He is on a roll! And he had a 5 point victory over 2nd place. Wow!

It was a soggy, rainy, nasty weekend in Chesapeake. Even the ducks were no where to be found. But we had fun. Rick & I cooked for the Pigs on the Run team this weekend and they will move on to Laurel, MD.

I am so bummed that Sam's had to move the regionals from New York to MD. I was really hoping to go up and meet the Poobah! Bummer! I still haven't met the Man. One of these days maybe.

I wish I could be there in MD but I have a church conflict. That's the weekend we make 120 gallons of Brunswick Stew. I'm the Stewmaster since my dad hung up the paddle. (See thread) (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50211&highlight=brunswick+stew) If I missed that Saturday I'd be excommunicated - and we're not even Catholic!!

Good luck to all you teams but special good luck to our mentoring team: Pigs on the Run!!!!! :clap2: Root Root!! :thumb:

Well it's Thursday and still no confirmation from Hambones by the Fire or Belmont. We would be next after those guys. Does anyone know if either of those has or has not committed? We haven't heard anything from KCBS. Would be nice to know so we can get geared up for Laurel.

We can put this to bed...just talked to KCBS, and Hambones by the Fire and Belmont did not want to compete in Laurel, so Slicks BBQ will be there!
