Locked out of Norwalk? Didn't put those ribs in the freezer yet?
Li'l Rhody Rib Fest in Pawtucket, RI is happening tomorrow, Saturday August 10th. It's a rib cook off in Pawtucket, RI, and they have space for 5 more teams.
It's $100 to enter. The first 3 spots pay: $500 for 1st, $250 for 2nd, $150 for third. Currently there are only 5 vendors competing, so it's only a field of not more than 10.
There are 3 judges, double blind judging, with a basic point system. Turn in will be at 3PM Saturday using a 9x9 box with open garnish. You can check in between 8AM and 11AM on Saturday and cook baby backs or spares.
Spots are 15'x20'.
I am not associated with the contest, but offered to help them see if they could get a few pro teams in there after Norwalk cancelled.
PM me if you want them to hold a spot.

The organizers are hoping to do a full fledged KCBS contest next year, so if a few teams and come cook and give them some support and feedback it would be helpful.
