Glad to be on the forum. Live in the D/FW metromess and can't think of anything better than smokin/grilling, nursing a cold one and tending fishing poles all at the same time. Favorite cuts are baby backs, tenderloin, shoulder, whole chicken and brisket. Grill at least two or three times a week and try to do my "meat for the month" on a regular basis. That's smoking a months worth of meat, bagging it up and freezing it in meal size portions. Sure easy to defrost and nothin better than smoked meat just about every meal!!! Just let my ten yr old son grill his first round of Brats last week on his own. He did just fine. Everyone be safe and have a good one.

Good to have you. If you ever get by Rudolph's make sure you get a good selection of sausage. Of course brd1958 will recomend Hirsch's up in Plano. Hard to go wrong.

Welcome aboard, fellow Texan! Speaking of favorite places to buy sausage, i gotta give a plug to Fischer's Meats in Muenster, west of Gainesville. Definitely worth a road trip!

I've spent enough time parked on 635 and 75 to qualify as a resident of Dallas.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Have been a customer at Rudy's Meat Market in Deep Ellum several times. Their hot dogs are really good on the smoker. Will have to try the sausage.
Just finished a round of venison jerky on the dehydrater this morning - good stuff. Have a great day. S.Watts

Have heard Rudy's was good but pricey. Never been there to far to walk from McKinney.
