Thanks Deepsouth. I have heard of Mothers. The other two look cool. Will put them down on my list to check out, especially the avenue pub.

Acme Oysters, hands down a favorite and must see! Just sit at the bar or else you'll be waiting for a table for a while. Plus the oyster chuckers are fun to talk to.

Made it to Mother's. Had the Jambalya ( it was outstanding) and Ferdi Po Boy. It was good to but was more impressed with the Jambalya.
Also went to the Avenue Pub, had a sampling (4 oz glasses) of a number of different beers on tap. The food was pretty good to, had the Dump Truck Fries (waffle fries with there own spicy cheese sauce and roast Beef over the top of them).
Also had to try the beignets from Cafe Dumond, very good. Not a coffee drinker so we didn't have the coffee there famous for. Went to a place called La Bayou on Bourbon street that had some outstanding food also. The wife had a Muffalota and I had a Shrimp Po Boy.
I wanted to get to a couple of other places that were mentioned but they were either to far away or was going some place else.

Did not make it to the Acme Oyster bar.
We ate pretty good while we were down there. Thanks for the tips guys.
