Brethren,
Where is the best place to get disposable cutting boards suitable for comps?
I found a couple of places a while back, but thought I'd ask you guys where you buy them, if you do.

I would like ones large enough to fit a brisket for slicing.

Thanks.

www.cutandtoss.com (http://www.cutandtoss.com)

They have different sizes, including the large ones you are looking for.

Thanks - that is one of the places I found earlier in the year - just wanted to hear the Brethren's thoughts. Shipping is high there, I've noticed. Ugh. Shipping.

Paper is heavy.

True...but...but...but, I'm just gonna be throwing all that paper away.

I actually revisited the site and noticed that I could buy 100 of the large WITH shipping for just over a buck apiece. So worth not having to wash my large wooden one over and over.

Thanks!!!

Big Poppa Smokers has 30 packs (18 x 24) for $34.95 I believe if you order 3 shipping is free (I think if your order is over $100) which makes them $1.17 ea as opposed to $1.21 ea at cutandtoss.com

BLUECHIP...why didn't ya tell me sooner??? ;)

ARe they members here? I'd rather pay a bit more and order from a Brethren - of course, spending LESS ordering from Brethren is even better. LOL.

I happen to know of this foundation that raises money for cancer research, will have a fundraiser for the foundation. It is one of the places that was mentioned in this post. Basically they will donate the entire cost of the boards to this foundation for the month of August. So let's say the boards cost $21.50 for a 30 pack and this company sells 100 orders of boards for August, this foundation would get 100 x $21.50 for a total of $2150.00!!!! The company would need to charge for shipping and we or i mean the foundation doesnt apply to shipping...

So wait until August 1st. I am sure this foundation will have something on the Brethren to make an announcement.... :becky:

Scottie, I already placed an order, but if a good foundation, say for instance one in the Chicago area that thinks Cancer Sucks were to have a fund raiser, I'd certainly buy again...and as much as I am able.

Please let me know - sometimes I overlook things here, so maybe put it on FB, too???

Thanks!!!!

Usually in February, because there isnt a contest every weekend. I am working on getting another (new) exciting guest instructor. So hopefully i can have an announcement on that soon!!!

Fwvruary also gives me an opportunity to wear shorts and a t-shirt... :clap2:

If you do it in Feb, I hope I'm not too busy getting ready for Lent/Easter. If so, I'll just have to come and shig off ya :) (I'm kidding, I'm kidding)

I'm glad that your friend mentioned this because I have a friend who is getting low on cutting boards. My friend has enough to get by until August, so maybe my friend can buy from your friend, friend.

I have enough for four or five comps, so I'm OK... Er... My friend is OK...

Thanks for the feedback on the coffee. The Ethiopian in there is one of the better ones I've found in the past couple of years.

Yes, have said "friend" post something in all caps or like bulk PM.

Question for those that use these: For say, cooked meats, can they be wiped down and used again or is one time and into the trash? I used these once last year but seems I just tossed them and now that I've seen the price a little conservation may come in handy.

You're a good dude Sterling. My friend told me to say that...

Might have to bring out my Big Poppa tshirt for this weekend. Hard to do though, it's my one bbq tshirt that doesnt have any stains on it!!! :becky:
