Congrats!

Was it as cold at Crestview as it was in Mobile? I had to break out the watch cap and gloves Friday night. :D

Hi All,

Thanks, we got home late yesterday afternoon, and had quite a bit to deal with at home. It was definately cold Friday night Dave and lots of moisture in the air. Had to work hard to keep the fire where I wanted it. It was also cold Friday morning when we were setting up as well. Now, to do this all over again this weekend in Clermont. Man, I'm tired.

Yes Arlin, I am happy... As Tim mentioned in another post, this was my 10th GC. I have been stuck at 9 since Aug. 2004 at Manchester, TN. Its been eating at me that I couldn't get that number 10 out of the way. Finally, now I can move on..

Smooth! :D

I'll settle for 10th (either in catagory or overall in anything) and you're fighting getting the 10th GC!! :D

There is no justice!

Congratulations, again! I'll probably see you at Auburndale - I've got serious honey-do's this weekend (income tax prep, etc.).

Sorry Dave, I certainly was not trying to rub anything in..
You guys will get there, I have faith in you..

Its just there are definate milestones, and that was the toughest one to get through, mentally.

See you in Auburndale then..

I was kidding! I most definately understand the effort it takes to stay as consistent as you and other top contenders. I in no way thought you were rubbing it in!! :D

I appreciate the relief you feel from getting past a "hang point" in competition!! Congrats, again.

Kevin, since you're too humble...............allow me to do the honors! You're gonna need your own trophy room soon, Brother!

Well, ****, Jeff.

Why don't you just kick me in the balls!

I have to "put up" with Jack's Old South, Woodhouse, Bill and the Dixie Chicks, Swamp Boys, Smoke Rings in the Dark (all FL competitors) along with Chris Lilly, The Triggers, Buttrub.com's protege Top Chick, and about 70 other teams and THEN you have to show me this!! Damn. :D :D :D :D :D

After about 6 months of competition we have 1 (one) small (tiny) trophy and a pile of bills!

Show some compassion!!

I hate to say this Jeff, but its beyond that now!

On my site, on the "about HomeBBQ" page there is a picture that was taken in December of 2003. At that point we had filled an 8 foot table in our dining room. Well, we had a better year in 2004, than we had in 2003, and we haven't done to bad in 2005 either. The Dining room is now full, the floor and table. Clara is getting kind of upset, cause she wants her dining room back. Don't get me wrong, the trophies are great, but not sure what to do with them.

:D :D :D 8) My Bad, Dave! Next contest, I'll be posting the Southern Brethren's picture on the board, for sure!!!

When I read your reply, you made me laugh so hard I almost choked on my Apple Juice! Good job in Mobile, BTW!

Add on a trophy room to the house mod.
