I need to move. I need to move somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon line. I need to move somewhere where people realize that grilling and BBQ re NOT the same thing. I need to get out of New England!
There...now that I have that off my chest.....any thoughts on where I might find a Bandera? I get the impression Charbroil is phasing them out. AHHHHH!!!
Thanks
Scott

Academy Sports and Oshmans @ $200 + tax
Scott, it seems they are phasing them out but there are still some out there. Also, consider the Brinkmann Smoke King Deluxe. Very, very similar. Just reversed (firebox on left side). There was just another thread on this (one of many) but I don't have time to do the search right now.
KC - can you fill Scott in on the BSKD?
And Scott, welcome to the group! Head over to Cattle Call and introduce yourself!

I bought mine at Wally World a year or 2 ago.........may want to see if a local manager can track one down for you. I know Academy Sports still carries them, shipping would be high, though.
Welcome to the site..................now go to cattle call and tell us about yourself!

Where are you in New England? I think your best bet would be to go into Loews or Home DEpot aremed with the SKU number and see if they will special order one for you. If they carry, the silver smoker, they are charbroil authorized. Only problem is you may get a charbroil model and not a New Braunfels. Sku numbers for a NB Bandera is 133-742.
Do a search of the Site(search is at the top of the fourm) for 2 threads called "The Quest". i think member SIXGUN initiated them both. It gave some ideas in there too.

Just went to Academy in Pensacola, FL.
NB (not CB) Banderas for $198!
They must have a warehouse full of them somewhere!
Know it wont help you Scott, but maybe someone needs one.
I actually got out of Academy for less than $7
TIM + MasterCard + Academy = "Total Fiscal Irresponsibility"
There was a new SS 6 Burner Gas Grill on sale--had my name on it
But, "ROF on a fixed income" and all of that

Or if you're like me and have a neighbor who owns one and needs to leave the country for some unknown reason, you can luck into one on a bequeathment of sorts.
You may check the local scrap metal yards. These things are heavy as hell and someone may turn one in for $. The army can make a tank out of a few of em.
Good luck.
