Pellet flavors for comp?

I am new at using a pellet cooker, just added one to my arsenal...just wanting to know what the favorite flavors/combo's are for comp....thanks guys....:becky:

What meats are you cooking and what brand of pellets are you using?

For me I use mesquite or hickory mixed with Cherry or Apple.

You have to experiment a little to get the flavor that you want.

We burn pure Hickory pellets. Only way we could find to get enough wood flavoring with our cooker.

I use Nature's Way apple for chicken. Very similar to hickory but just a little lighter. Your Traeger will give a nice smoke flavor if you stick with low temps.
