Helped my father build a brick grill, wood storage and Smoker BEFORE I knew how to cook. Am a "Pit Master" in the old form. I have cooked on wood fire, every meat legal to cook and some I'm still not sure about.

Used gas but never again. Nor do I use lighter fluid anymore. I cook on a $100 Royal Oak Grill, Kingsford is my charcoal mfg and prefer the mesquite if it is available.

My handicap is that my grilling background has my meat marinateing for @ LEAST 3 days. I see that I need to learn to inject meat or invent the food replicator. (Yes, Virginia, that WAS a Star Trek reference.)

Looking to learn, design my grill, get sponsors and win some competition. One I master Florda with a signature twist, then ..........

Welcome. We need folks like you aboard. We will look forward to what you, the Pitmaster, can teach us about the "old form."
