So the wife has been wanting some shirts.....I went to a local place and was a little sticker shocked :shock:
I researched old posts and found queensboro (http://queensboro.com) was recommended by quite a few. Are they decent quality of shirts?
I know nothing about shirts besides I buy 'em she shrinks 'em and they don't fit !
Any other places recommended?

Hey Justin, we get ours from Signify Promotions. It is a division of Sigler--a local start-up since gone national, headquartered in Ames. I am sure you can find slightly cheaper options, but we have been more than happy with the quality of the product and customer service. We also like to work locally whenever feasible. When we order a bunch of them, I think we can get them around 7 a piece, but these last.

fwiw, I know a lot of teams use and recommend cafepress.com as well as zazzle.com. We bought a bunch of different stuff one time from cafepress, and got it in the mail and found the color match from the vector file we sent was not even close. Sonya called and barely got the issue across to the customer service rep and the rep instantly refunded our money and told us to keep the product. Wow. Additionally, I have purchased biz cards from zazzle and was very impressed.

Hope it helps man!

Just got a batch of shirts in from www.customink.com (http://www.customink.com).

Easy to order, great customer service, and fast delivery. Compared prices to local shops, and prices were comparable, and I got shirts in 10 days delivered to my front door.

Good Luck,
DanD

Amazing people to deal with!

No setup fees, no design fees, great prices, we got forest green full color front and back t-shirts for like 9 bucks a piece...Great quality too, Neither the artwork or forest green shirts have faded in the year and a half I've had them...I wear em almost every weekend.

If you decide to go with them tell them Neil from Too Sauced To Pork sent ya!

We use Cafepress and have had great luck. You can setup a free account and then buy in any quantity. I've had stuff for BBQ team and hockey teams done and they've looked great and lasted many many washes.

In addition to some of the places already mentioned above, I have also had shirts made from www.printfection.com (http://www.printfection.com). printfection and places like cafepress are OK if you want a few shirts, but they are pricey if you want any quantity.

I currently have an order for something other than shirts from another place, www.egrandstand.com (http://www.egrandstand.com) , that I am awaiting delivery on. I also spoke to them about pricing on shirts using quality Gildan tees, and it looks like their pricing for quantities may be very good. I am waiting to receive the other order from them and if satisfied with the qulity of that will probably pursue a shirt order with them.

Hey Justin,
When we did the obligatory T-shirt chase I checked pretty much everybody local here and ended up using Karens Print-Rite on Falls Ave. in Waterloo.
Their minimum was fair (6 I think) and prices were as reasonable as anywhere else.
I e-mailed them a Photo Shop rendering of our artwork and they did some changes and put it in their format, went very smooth.
We also had them make up signs w/metal frame for sponser for like $7 if I remember right. If you want more info PM me.

Thanks for all of the ideas!!!!

Checked with Karen's Print Rite....must've caught that woman on a bad week :heh:....my file will not work for her and them to design one would be $45/hour at 2-3 hours..plus shirt costs

Signify were very pleasant to deal with...quoted me around $12 per shirt with a $139 set-up fee:confused:

Then I called the Print Shop....wow....very nice people....no set up fee....says he has been doing bbq shirts for a long while......no price/artwork back yet though...he said similar shirts were around $10 :clap2:

All these prices were quoted with the dark color Gildan tees 6.1 oz., the shirts are designed with name on front left chest and something similar to my avatar on the back.
Hope this kind of helps anyone looking for a place to buy :thumb:

Sounds like you have been on quite the journey! Sorry to hear Signify didn't work out. Im guessing the set-up fee from Signify was for the same reason Print Rite wanted to charge you extra for the design. What is the file format of your logo? $12 may be due to the fact it is two-sided. Ours is only one. Either way, looking forward to seeing them once they get done.

Kevin, pm me details I need new shirts.

I get my shirts for around $10-$12 a shirt (depending upon qty.) with a small logo printed on upper left breast, and a large 12" logo or so on the back. Plus, because of his printer, he doesn't charge a set-up charge like most big screen-printing companies. So you can do small order batches for a very fair price. The guy that does them for me is Tom Bruns in Worthington MN. His company name is Images by Tom, and his number is: 507-376-9610

Tell them Kevin Feit sent you. He's a high school buddy of mine.

Well it just so happens that I own my own promotional company - Trinity Promotional -- www.trinitypromos.com (http://www.trinitypromos.com) -- and we have our BBQ team and seasoning business.. - so this might be a win win situation for all of you.... I'd gladly talk t-shirts, hats, aprons or whatever you might need - and offer the club a 20% discount on any promos you run thru me... I've been in business for 20 years.. so I know what I'm doing ... Now I will tell you - I have minimums of at least 12 shirts... its extremly hard to get shirts printed at low mins - because of the cost of setting up the printers... as with anything - the larger the order, the lower the price!! If you have questions just give me a shout... 337-457-9241 or email tammy@trinitypromos.com
